So, our precious movie premiere has come and gone and we can all get back to normal, right?? Seriously?? I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the movie! It was all I had hoped for (minus my very, absolute favorite line from the series...sigh) and a little bit more. I do think they made Jacob seem a little "nicer" than he really was in the book. Where was the line "Bye Bella...I really hope you don't die!" when he leaves her with Alice. I think the movie made Jacob the "good" guy and Edward the "bad" guy. I didn't get that vibe in the book...I always got the sense they were both "good" just in different ways...thus the fire and ice analogy. Any thoughts??? I will admit to seeing it 3 times already with another viewing in the works. But that is all I will admit to...
On another note, I am digging out Eclipse to re-read it (for the 10th time...really...10. And I have other books to read...) to get ready for that premiere in June. Only days until Eclipse!! Yeah!
Speaking of Eclipse...I found this great article at Rotten Tomatoes (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/twilight_saga_eclipse/news/1857422/5_facts_about_the_twilight_saga_eclipse) Check it out:
The Twilight Saga: New Moon has been in cinemas for almost a week. So, depending on your feelings towards sparkly vampires and extremely buff werewolves, you will either have seen it three times already (ZOMG RPattz!) or avoided it altogether. Either way, the fandemonium has subsided enough for us to look to the future. It's just seven months until Eclipse, the third instalment of Stephenie Meyer's popular book series, hits the big screen. RT caught up with the cast in LA's Four Seasons hotel during their manic New Moon press tour to get the latest on the eagerly anticipated film. We learned that Robert Pattinson hates pranks, that Nikki Reed loves werewolves and that we may just see a fifth film. Read on to find out more...
Fact #1: It's Darker
The brand new poster for Eclipse hints at a darker tone with its brooding storm clouds. With 30 Days of Night director David Slade at the helm, it's unsurprising. "Every movie is different because we work with a different director on each one, which I love," Taylor Lautner tells RT. "David Slade is perfect for the third film because it's darker. Eclipse was my favorite book."
Ashley Greene, who plays vampire Alice, tells RT that Slade isn't just a prince of darkness. "David is actually hysterical," she laughs, "He has such a dry sense of humour that sometimes you don't know if he's kidding or not. Eclipse will be amazing because he has made it far edgier and more dramatic. It's going to look very cool."
Ok, it is just me or is the whole "darker" thing a little disturbing. Don't mess with my favorite book David Slade. I will NOT be happy. Grrrrr....

Oh my...we're down to 2 days...and my girl child is lucky
that I am a reasonable adult who understands kids...especially 5th graders. She wrote the most amazing letter explaining her outburst of this morning, her misunderstanding of "room cleaning requirements" and other assorted stuff. I am extremely proud of her taking responsibility and trying to fix things. Now, I know she is probably trying to cover her booty and retain her midnight movie priveleges...but I will take compliance any way I can get it! Plus she offered up a consequence that is WAY worse than missing the movie as a trade---no electronics for a week. That means no phone, iPod, TV, radio, DS, Wii...you get the picture. For my totally plugged in child...this is torture. She made a good case and presented an alternative consequence---and since responsibility is the goal of this whole parenting thing, I made the deal. Pushover? Maybe, but this is something I have looked forward to for a LONG time and I know she has as well. To miss it would be a shame.
SO...in summary...the spouse and I decided to reverse our decision about no New Moon and institute another consequence. Believe me...she will pay for her mistake (see the no electronics comment). But I think it will be in a more "lesson learning" way.
By the way...did you know it is only 2 days!!! 2 days!! Seriously...about 53 hours. I am just about to hyperventilate right now!! 2 days!!!
Leaving with a fave quote from New Moon...here's our girl Bella:
Option three: Edward loved me. The bond forged between us was not one that could be broken by absence, distance, or time. And no matter how much more special or beautiful or brilliant or perfect than me he might be, he was as irreversibly altered as I was. As I would always belong to him, so would he always be mine.

7 days...and everyone knows it!
Seriously, every time I turned around today, someone was flashing me 7 fingers (which I suppose is better than one particular middle finger...). It was really funny! My kids even noticed and I had to explain what was up. One very astute kid remarked that "Wow...that means ALL the teachers will be in a good mood next week. Sweeet!". Hmmmm...that could be mischief in the making. I may have to put on a grumbly face to nip it in the bud!!
Here is what I would like to say to this guy... "Wow...bummer for you buddy. You could get a clue and read the book. I would be money that your ex would be all over you if you said things like "I’ll be back so soon you won’t have time to miss me. Look after my heart — I’ve left it with you." I'm just saying..."
I wonder how that would go over...
Anyway, did I mention it is 7 days?? Really...7 days!!! It is a good thing I have another vampire to ogle tonight or I would just obsess over the whole 7 days thing.
Wow...look at that picture. It just appeared out of nowhere (well, it appeared after I clicked 'add picture', searched my collection, clicked 'attach', clicked 'center' and 'ok'. See...out of nowhere...)
Ok, more favorite quotes...how about this one:
Alice:”I’ll play you for it. Rock, Paper, Scissors.”
Edward:”Why don’t you just tell me who wins?”
Alice:”I do. Excellent.”
I LOVE Alice! Not only is she Edward's biggest supporter, she is just FUN! Seriously, LOVE HER!

8 days...8 days...8 days!!!!
The excitement is reaching fever pitch around here. It seems like everyone I run into is saying, with a huge smile on their face "8 days!". Really...we all just need to get a life! Seriously people...it is only a movie!
OK, who am I kidding???? I can hardly sit still and type this I am SO EXCITED!!! Even my boy child is pumped to see "Jacob and the other wolfs". Yeah...my kid is Team Jacob. Go figure.
So, I found this little challenge on one of the sites earlier today and thought it would be fun for us to play along. Here it is:
What is your favourite quote/passage from the entire saga?
Anything goes. Whether its three words or an entire paragraph, share with us your favourite lines from the story. In case anyone wants to look any of the quotes up, please include the book it’s from, the character that says it and page you got it from .
OK, I'll go first. Can anyone guess MY favorite quote? I'm sure it will be a real challenge but I don't think I have EVER told anyone that I like this line... (who am I kidding??? I am sure ALL of you can name my fave!)
You’re not asleep, and you’re not dead. I’m here, and I love you. I have always loved you, and I will always love you. I was thinking of you, seeing your face in my mind, every second that I was away. When I told you that I didn’t want you, it was the very blackest kind of blasphemy.
Edward, New Moon, Chapter 23, p.510
Oh...sigh...sigh...SIGH! I just love that quote. It is just so Edward & Bella for me. Really...if I didn't love Edward before this, I would most certainly be smitten now!
I do want to note that I think it is funny that my absolute favorite line is from my least favorite book. Ironic, huh?
I do have another quote that is a close second...and since I am the one typing this, I am going to share! How about this one:
You know, Jacob, if it weren’t for the fact that we’re natural enemies and that you’re also trying to steal away the reason for my existence, I might actually like you.
Edward, Eclipse, Chapter 22, p.503
LOVE this one too! It kind of sums of my feelings for Jacob..."Look...I really find you annoying, bud, but can see you are somewhat ok in your own way. If you weren't such a pain in the booty we might actually be friends!" Sorry to my Team Jacob friends, but I am just that way!
Now, how about your quotes...c'mon! Make a comment! Join the fun! If you don't, I will post more of my favorites and you will be forced to read what I choose (ah, the power...)

Closing with picture...again, just because I can!! Hmmm...I think I can "appreciate" the wolf pack a little more with images like this! (keep it clean, Angie...)
p.s. did you realize it is only 230 days until Eclipse???? tee hee...something to think about!

Re-reading New Moon?
This is a lot of fun! Each day they are posting a quick review and commentary on each chapter. Some of it is laugh out loud funny! I will post the chapters from here to the premiere. If you want to check out chapters 1-13, the address is http://www.newmoonmovie.org/. Check it out!!!
We are on Chapter 14 of our countdown that means 11 more days until the release of New Moon. Join us by reading a chapter a day together. So in order to help pass the time while we wait for New Moon to be released, I will continue to post a thread everyday for each chapter in the book, counting down the days until the official release of the film on November 20th.
Chapter 14: Family
”Again they reminded me of brothers, quadruplets. Something about the way they moved almost in synchronization to stand across the road from us, the way they all had the same long, round muscles under the same red brown skin, the same cropped black hair, and the way their expressions altered at exactly the same moment.”
Bring on the action! Finally some goodies, let’s get right to it.
This is the first time we get to see just how bad of a temper (super hot drool worthy) Paul has(shh, don’t tell Edward I said that about Paul)
pg. 325 Stephenie Meyer once again does an excellent job on describing the transformation of human Paul into his wolf form. “Paul roared in outrage. Another shudder, a convulsion, heaved through his body. He threw his head back, a real growl tearing from between his teeth. Paul seemed to fall forward, vibrating violently. Halfway to the ground, there was a loud ripping noise, and the boy exploded. Dark silver fur blew out from the boy, coalescing into a shape more than five-times his size-a massive, crouched shape, ready to spring. The wolf’’s muzzle wrinkled back over his teeth, and another growl rolled through his colossal chest. His dark, enraged eyes focused on me.”
The fight scene. Jake & Paul go at it jack! I mean they get to scrappin!
Aren’t Jared & Embry just so forkin’ awesome?
Pg. 329 My favorite quote from Embry: “She runs with vampires.”
We are formally introduced to Emily Young & her awful facial scars. Emily is Sam Uley’s fiancee and Leah Clearwater’s cousin( I still can’t get over that mess…crooked eye)
Muffins yum!
Pg. 332 For once Bella serves up some sassiness when Emily doesn’t seem too pleased to see Bella in her kitchen. “She stared at me, and neither half of her once beautiful face was friendly. “So you’re the vampire girl.” I stiffened. “Yes. Are you the wolf girl?”
Pg. 333 We finally get a closer look into the loving relationship between Sam & Emily. “The front door opened, and Sam stepped through. “Emily,” he said, and so much love saturated his voice that I felt embarrassed, intrusive, as I watched him cross the room in one stride and take her face in his wide hands. He leaned down and kissed the dark scars on her right cheek before he kissed her lips.”
Umm ok ladies we all need to fly to Forks, LaPush, or whatever because it seems as if all these men are romantic.(cools down with a fan) Now back to Paul, was all that really necessary? Okay I get it you’re ticked off that Bella knows the secret, but to get so enraged, turn in to a wolf, then spring to attack her? Like really was Paul about to kill Charlie’s only daughter? It should never be that serious in my opinion.
Now the secret is out. Everybody knows about everybody. There are no more secrets, now the drama can begin.
Don't you love it!! Some of the side comments are exactly the ones I would make!! Fun!
Moving on...the onslaught of video, interviews, pictures, and other media has begun for New Moon...which is in 10 days...really 10 days!! Tomorrow it will be SINGLE DIGITS!!! I have my shirt, my tickets, my friends...I am so ready!!

only 13 days...
Oh...I saw this and it threw me for a loop...dreams and nightmares. Sigh. I'm going to cry during this movie. Seriously, big box of Kleenex, sobbing silently, wishing it would hurry up and end at the same time hoping it will never end, sniffling, snuffling CRY. Sniff. Only the hope of hearing my favorite line will see me through. Sniff.

2 weeks...2 weeks...2 WEEKS!!!
I think my obsession may have reached a new high...every time I talk with one Renee Cassel, I get even more pumped up!! I am sending notice that I will NOT sit by anyone who wants to talk during the midnight movie. Seriously...not kidding here. I will chat when we go again on Friday or during any of the other viewings the next week, but midnight...shush!! I want to take it all in...I am really over the top excited!!! Enough said about that.
Did the proposal scene make it into New Moon? (oh it better have...that's all I'm saying)
The proposal comes into the end of New Moon, and that is the first proposal. Absolutely in Eclipse, the proposal when they’re on the bed, yes -- to me, that was a quintessential scene from the book (amen to that...really, one of the most swoon worthy scenes EVER!!!). When Edward gets on his knees, with his mother’s ring, and she says yes -- that was one of the most romantic scenes that Stephenie wrote in all four books.
Well, that's good news...you can read the whole article here: http://www.fearnet.com/blogs/new_moon/b17223_exclusive_melissa_rosenberg_on_new_moon.html
OK friends...it is off to clean the kitchen and prepare for my other little vampire pleasure: The Vampire Diaries. Anyone else thinking Damon is just yummy??? Don't usually go for the bad boys, but this one intrigues me...more on that later!
Now, I have been told by one wolf girl that I am "neglecting" you Team Jacob friends. That is not my intention...I am just so totally about Edward that I tend to forget the young Mr. Black. So, thanks, Angie, for keeping me aware of your wolfie needs. So how's this...
Or what about this?
And finally...
So there. I'm done with the doggies for today. How about this...
New still from the movie. Pissed or pensive...what's your opinion?? Who cares...he's hot!!!
Ok, news from Eclipse. FEARnet had an interview with Melissa Rosenberg, the screenwriter for Twilight and New Moon. I think she is for Eclipse as well. Read...
In your script for Twilight, you wrote in a number of direct quotes from Stephenie Meyer’s book. Can we expect the same in New Moon and Eclipse? (uh...there darn well better be!! Especially one that ends in 'blasphemy' or I am going to be very unhappy!!)
There are definitely some quotes sprinkled throughout. In some cases I’m paraphrasing, but I do try to include as many as I can. It’s very important. It brings the flavor of the book into the movie, so I definitely try to. (hmmm...I don't think I like paraphrasing. But I will withhold judgment...she did come up with the whole 'You can Google it...' line for Twilight)Did the proposal scene make it into New Moon? (oh it better have...that's all I'm saying)

speechless...
Really...no words...ummmm...wow.
Vanity Fair is SO my new favorite magazine!!
This is totally an Edward look!
Wow! How's that for wonderful! I love pictures like these!!
I found a fun article on the hottest vampires in tv/film at http://www.guidetobeautyschools.com/hottest-twilight-vampires#robert : "The Vampire Craze: An In Depth Analysis Of The Hottest Male Vampires."
Emmett and Edward make the list...their parts are below:
16. Kellan Lutz as Emmett Cullen from Twilight
2. Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen in Twilight
Oh, Edward Cullen. Your penchant for stalking teenage girls and attending high school for all of eternity aside (dude, why ?), you are one good looking bloodsucker. Sure, the stirrings of your hotness were there when you played Cedric Diggory back at Hogwarts (R.I.P. friend), but I don't think any of us really appreciated the true beauty that is you until you stepped into the Forks cafeteria in Twilight. What I like about Robert Pattinson's appearance for this role (besides the obvious 'please-take-me-now' facet) is that he actually looks like a vampire. Unlike other high school vampire shows (I'm thinking of you, Vampire Diaries ), there is something simply too pretty about Edward Cullen. I mean, there is just no way somebody who looks like him is human. He has to be something more. Perhaps it's the golden, color-changing eyes, or the perfectly placed hair, or maybe the very pale skin and impossibly red lips, but it only takes one look to know that this guy is not a guy at all. He can't be. To conclude, I guess it's not at all surprising that Bella falls in love with him in about 2.5 seconds (give or take). I mean, wouldn't you?
If you are a vampire fan, check out the whole list! Definetly fun!
I got my really cool shirts today from Cafe Press!! They rock!! I am going to have the Bling Queen jazz them up and then I will share!! I love new Twilight things!!
Just because...here are a couple more fun shirts I found! I wonder if we will see any of these on the 19th???

It's a beautiful day...
and I am FINALLY finished messing with that stupid EC-4 test!! Now I can throw myself into the first re-reading of New Moon! I want to read it twice before the movie...I want to immerse myself in the story so the movie will be just that much better! Of course, realizing that the countdown numbers now begin with 1 is not helping me maintain control!! Deep breathing...visualize calm...deep breathing...
My boy child asked me yesterday why I was typing for this blog and not putting anything on his (the family) blog. I had to pause a moment to craft a response that wouldn't make me feel guilty later for lying. So I told him that I was just waiting for the awesome pictures of him as Obi Wan Kenobi that I took of him on Halloween! He seemed satisfied with this and ran off. Now I just need to find my camera...I know I had it last night...
Anyway, here is a fun list I found. It is the Countdown to ‘New Moon' To-Do Checklist. Let's see how many we can check off the list:
1.) Order midnight tickets for Nov. 19. Like, now. (uh...done! I think we may have been some of the first in our area!! Go us!!)
2.) Plan a New Moon viewing party. (check! We have a rockin' evening planned!!!)
3.) Get to know the New Moon soundtrack. (working on it!)
Twilight opened to the sounds of The Black Ghosts. Which of the bands on the New Moon soundtrack will you hear first in the film? Get familiar with the songs of New Moon and see if you can predict which scenes will feature Lykke Li or Death Cab for Cutie or The Killers. For example, I think Lykke Li's track will be perfect after the happenings in Volterra. But I loved Carter Burwell's "Bella's Lullaby" so much that Alexandre Desplat's "Meadow" theme will really have to work well on screen to win me over.
4.) Re-read New Moon! (check...and check again!!)
Chances are you breezed through all four of Stephenie Meyer's novels in a very short time (uh...yeah...who didn't???), turning pages frantically to get to the end of Bella and Edward's saga. Start re-reading "New Moon" now – you'll want a refresher on every little tidbit of action, angst, and why newcomers like Aro and Jane are important.
5.) Stock up on New Moon goodies for the big day. (and t-shirts...and jewelry...and CUPS!)
If you're going to see New Moon on opening day – and especially if you're going at midnight – make it a night to remember by celebrating the festivities. After all, Christmas comes every year, but New Moon only premieres in theaters once. So grab a New Moon t-shirt, your Edward Cullen or Jacob Black action figure (or both), and a bag of New Moon chocolates to tide you over.
6.) Clear your schedule the weekend of November 20 for repeat viewings. (already done...4:10 Friday anyone???)
Well, aren't we just the gifted (obsessed) Twilighters!! Again I say, yeah us!!
How about a picture...ahhhhh....that is just so nice!! It is the cover of Vanity Fair magazine that hits stands on Tuesday. I may have to buy Vanity Fair just for this picture! Seriously, even you Team J folks can't resist this one...those are some serious bedroom eyes...(leaving the rest to your imagination...trying to keep it at least PG-13...)
Now, our favorite Cullen siblings, Alice & Emmett (well, the actors who play them, actually...) were dishing about New Moon in Vegas last night. Here is a clip of the article:
Ashley Greene & Kellan Lutz Preview New Moon in Vegas
By Mark Gray
Giving their vampire and werewolf costumes a break, New Moon stars Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz headed to Nevada Saturday to celebrate Halloween and host the Yelloween party at Tao Las Vegas.
'More About Heartbreak'
In New Moon, she says, "Edward [Robert Pattinson] kind of breaks Bella's heart, so you definitely see Jacob [Taylor Lautner] kind of swoop in to rescue her. You get to see their chemistry and dynamic. It kind of keeps you on the edge of your seat a little bit more than the first one."
Comparing the two films, she says, "The first one is very much a love story, and this one is kind of more about heartbreak and healing, and you got the wolves come in and there's that threat, that danger. I actually saw the movie about two months ago, and it's really good."
New Moon she says, "is a little more guy-friendly. It's a lot more action-packed, and the wolves are funny, because they're a threat and a danger to our family but they're also protecting this person that we all love – so we kind of have to get along with them."
You can read the whole thing there: http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20316820,00.html?xid=rss-topheadlines
Well, that's it for now. By the way...did you notice the countdown!! 18 days...I CAN'T WAIT!!!!
